Why Not Scotland?

This wonderful and timely film is being shown at Carlops Village Centre on Saturday 25th May at 7.30pm (doors open at 7.00pm)

Scotland ranks as one of the most nature-depleted countries on earth. However, across mainland Europe, nature is making a dramatic recovery. Wildlife is returning, forests are expanding, rivers are being set free and wetlands restored.

This feature length documentary accompanies Flo, a young Scot from Glasgow, on an immensely personal journey, as she seeks out examples of nature recovery around Europe. She discovers how and where nature is making a spectacular comeback breathing life into the landscape and revitalizing human communities. Inspired by a sense of hope and renewal, she is prompted to ask: if this is possible elsewhere, then why not Scotland?

There is no admission charge for the film. However donations will be gratefully accepted and monies raised will be split between one of Scotlands current rewilding projects and Carlops Village Centre.
