“Fare fa’ yir honest sonsie face”
West Linton and Carlops Village Centres are delighted to be joining forces for this year’s Burns Night celebrations.
Everyone of all ages, wherever you are, is warmly invited to join in a lovely, local, online evening of Burns Night traditions, speeches, poems, songs and dance, all featuring local talent from all over the world, all to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
Our ‘Burns Night In’ will be on Saturday 29th January at 7.00pm. After the haggis has been piped in and addressed, and Selkirk Grace read, there will be a short interval to allow you to plate your haggis, neeps and tatties, pour a dram and sit back an enjoy the Immortal Memory, Toast to the Lassies, Reply from the Lassies, Tam O’Shanter, Ae Fond Kiss, Red Red Rose and much, much more.
To register please use the link at

and follow the easy-to-use instructions. Last year was very well ‘attended’. We expect the same again this year so please register at the earliest opportunity – places are understandably limited.
Forsyth’s Butchers in Peebles are again kindly supporting our Burns Night. You can place your haggis with the WL Village Centre and it will be ready for collection and payment at the VC on Sat 29th (morning), prior to our Burns Night. To order your haggis, please contact 07903616032, message WL Village Centre or email westlintonvillagecentre@gmail.com. Orders will have to be submitted by Tue 25th Jan.
We’ll circulate information from Forsyth’s about haggis types, sizes and prices later.
And that’s it folks. Should be a great wee night. Hope to see you there.
