Ten years ago Shakespeare at Traquair were the first community group to stage an evening of entertainment in the new Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre. Part of that entertainment was the youngsters performing Shakespeare’s Canon. It seemed appropriate to perform again with a new generation in the Eastgate’s celebratory tenth year. The show is directed by Kath Mansfield.
Written by local playwright Douglas Roberts, It is a magical romp celebrating some of the bards most popular and well known pieces – in short form. The bard himself makes an appearance. All those familiar with Douglas’s work on DRHC will know a few twists and surprises are in order!
